Soon to be a proud parent of three, you are always on guard since your mom told her about her experience guarding the eggs you and your brother used to live in. In short, there was a lizard problem. A hungry lizard problem.

This is an early prototype-ish of a much bigger idea. The full game is not only gonna have more towers and enemies but also upgrade/boosting mechanics and new type of terrain. Wishlist the full game on steam: The Lizard Problem on Steam

The game is very fun and easy to get into.

I may have bought too many squirrels.

Ahahah, that's absolutely amazing! I can see you enjoyed the game. My goal is to have a few more free updates here on itch before I completely switch to steam, so you can look forward to a more "real" endgame with harder waves and more types of towers (other animals too, not just squirrels!)

A really robust and complete experience. I initially felt terrible for losing 2/3 eggs early on, but after slaughtering 100s of lizards for an hour I got over it. The scaling terrain adds an amusing maintenance element to the gameplay loop, well done.

The squirrel vicars-gun of 100 acorns per second kind of blends the audio into a satisfying heavy rain on a windshield sort of noise, which is probably similar to what it'd actually sound like.

Thanks! I'm happy you liked it. There is a lot more content planned (more towers, more lizards, more tile types like mud). This itch build will continue to receive updates for ~1 month maybe and after that I'll wait until I've got enough features in to publish it to steam early access. Thanks for playing and I'm hoping you'll check back later!

This was really interesting and quite addicting. I found the rounds to be just the right amount of length and the artwork is pretty nice. Glad you submitted this, great work!

Thanks! I'm gonna keep the short waves in future versions, trying to find better ways to increase the difficulty

Lizard Gang! I love your game! It is really addicting and the overall style is really nice!

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it
